2008 A-LEVEL RESULTS

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2008 LEAVERS!

Once again, we are proud of, and delighted with, all our A-level candidates. This year's group of 81 girls gained a record-breaking proportion of A grades (82.3%) with 96.5% of all papers being awarded A or B grades.

Most girls took 4 A Levels and 1 AS Level. The pass rate was 100%.

Including AS Levels, 63 girls gained 3 or more A grades, 16 gaining 4 As, 36 gaining 5 As, 5 gaining 6 As and one gaining 7 As.

In AQA Biology, 2 girls gained one of the Top 5 marks nationally. This achievement was also secured by 1 girl in General Studies.

One candidate was amongst the Top 10 who achieved the highest overall mark in Edexcel Drama & Theatre Studies, and 1 other candidate was amongst the Top 10 to achieve the highest overall mark in Religious Studies Advanced Extension Award.

In total, 10 Distinctions and 4 Merits were gained in Advanced Extension papers, in 7 different subjects.

Girls have gained places in a range of top universities, including 10 places at Cambridge and 4 at Oxford.
